After you have successfully signed up with us and had all names on the account approved, you can receive both letters and packages at your US Global Mail address.
To get your mail at your US Global Mail address, please check if you need to do the following:
1. Notify senders of your new address
Make sure to inform the senders of your new address or simply fill the Change of Address USPS form to redirect mail to your new US Global Mail address.
2. Authorize US Global Mail to receive mail delivered by USPS
USPS requires all Commercial Mail Receiving Agencies (CMRA), like US Global Mail, to collect a notarized document from every customer that intends to have their mail opened, scanned or shipped after we’ve received it at our addresses.
The USPS 1583 form can be found within your account with us. Learn more about the form here.
We'll notify you by placing your mail in a Quarantine section of your account should a USPS letter or package be addressed to you but there is no 1583 form for that name.
In those cases, simply let us know and we'll guide you on what is missing. We will still keep the item for you but we cannot release it to your inbox until we have the notarized 1583 form.
3. Mail must come under the correct address
Your mail must arrive with the approved names (listed in your account) and your box number listed so that we can ensure it goes into the correct box.
If any sender's address mail to you without either of these, the item will be considered a Lookup Item. This means it will be delayed arriving at your inbox because we must cross-check the name on the letter with our customer database. In instances where there are multiple people with your name, the letter/package will be returned to the sender.
4. Deliver packages during business hours
We only receive deliveries during our business hours (8am - 6pm, Monday to Friday, US Central Standard Time).
Please ensure your don't have any shipments delivered on the weekends as these boxes may be left outside our building and we would not be responsible for deliveries placed outside our premises.
Note: Shippers attempting to deliver outside business hours will send you an undeliverable message.
5. Inform us if your shipments are large
While we have no limits on incoming shipment size, we must know in advance of a freight shipment delivery. You can let us know via our Contact us form or email firstname.lastname@example.org
6. Inform us if you expect Certified Mail, Registered Mail or COD Shipments
We can receive these items if you select this option on your 1583 Form and registration page. It is FREE, however, we must have your explicit confirmation before receiving such shipments.
Then you'll be notified when mail arrives and can you can check your mail online.
